关于2014年12月组织学术型硕士研究生学位英语考试的通知

各学院：

经研究决定，我校将在2014年12月举行硕士学位英语考试，现将有关事项通知如下：

一、考试对象

2012级和2013级全日制学术型硕士研究生未通过硕士学位英语考试者。

二、考试时间

2014年12月26日(周五)，上午笔试，下午口试。

考试安排和地点考前另行通知。

三、考试形式

1、考试形式：笔试（占85%）和口试（占15%）

2、考试题型

笔试：听力（20%）、阅读理解（20%）、翻译（20%）、写作（25%）

口试：题目以涉及社会、文化、历史、经济、生活等有关的话题。每组口试题为10个，口试topics考前一个月下发给考生准备，口试时由每组考生随机抽取1个topic，考试以5人为一组的小组讨论方式进行，考生自由发言，最后，每位考生用1分钟时间总结自己的观点。考官根据考生小组讨论中的表现评分，考生不能背诵课文式的发表观点，每组考生考试时间在15—20分钟。口试topics附后。

四、报名程序

未通过学位英语考试的研究生填写《2014年12月硕士学位英语考试报名表》（此表可在研究生院网站下载或向所在学院领取），请于12月12日之前将报名表交到研究生院培养办，逾期不候。

五、有关事项

1、请各学院及时把本通知传达到相关研究生，以免错过考试机会。

2、请报名参加考试的研究生认真复习，努力备考，争取顺利通过硕士学位英语考试。

3、2014级学术型硕士研究生不能参加本次考试，修完英语课程学分（一年）后于2015年6月参加学位英语考试。

2014年12月硕士学位英语考试口试topics

1.     People often say there is a generation gap between the old and the young. Do you think generation gap exists in your family? What are the different ideas between you and your parents?

2.     Some young people would like to stay at home, having a good rest on weekends. What is your idea about it? Do you think the young people should do something more meaningful, such as doing some sports?

3.     After studying in schools and colleges for so many years, what’s the biggest problem in our education? And what are your suggestions to solve it?

4.     Some young people are very good at typing words on computers, but their handwriting is too bad. Do you think good handwriting is going out of style? What is your opinion about handwriting and typing?

5.     Parents often complain about their children playing computer for too long. Even some children are addicted to video games. Do you have some good suggestions for the parents with these children?

6.     Traffic problem is becoming serious in big cities, although we have wider roads and more bridges. What are your suggestions to solve the problem of traffic jams?

7.     Some western festivals like Thanksgiving and Christmas are becoming popular in China. Do you think we should accept or reject them? Why?

8.     Paying with credit card instead of cash is becoming more popular among young people. Do you find it very convenient? What problems have you found when using credit cards?

9.     We are more used to talking on line or on mobile phone instead of talking face to face, which is believed to be a problem by psychologists. Which way do you prefer? Do you often gather with your friends and have a chat?

10.  We have seen a lot of Olympic champions winning medals in different sports games, which makes us proud and excited. Can you tell us something happening inside or outside our country which makes you very proud of our country?
